§ 10.20.020. Prohibited parking and standing.

  • In addition to the state motor vehicle laws prohibiting parking, no person shall park or stand:

    A.

    A vehicle upon a bridge, viaduct, or other elevated structure used as a street or within a street tunnel, unless authorized;

    B.

    A vehicle in an alley other than for the expeditious loading or unloading of persons or materials, but in no case for a period in excess of thirty (30) consecutive minutes;

    C.

    A motor truck, motor bus, or semi-trailer weighing (with or without load) or recreational vehicle in excess of twelve thousand (12,000) pounds shall be prohibited from parking on any city street. Except while actually engaged in the process of loading or unloading passengers and cargo, and then only for a period of time not in excess of thirty (30) minutes, or the actual time necessary to complete said loading or unloading activity;

    D.

    A vehicle upon a parkway or freeway, except as authorized;

    E.

    Any vehicle requiring registration with the state of Oregon that is currently unregistered or whose registration has expired for a period of six months or more.

    F.

    Within a yellow zone.
