§ 13.04.480. Rates and charges established.

The following rates and charges are established for water furnished through the Sheridan municipal water system.

A.

User Rates: Customers Inside City Limits.

For residential and commercial customers, apartments, hotels, trailer courts, motels and all other facilities providing multiple-family dwelling within the city limits, for all measured consumption the charge is seven dollars and twenty-six cents ($7.26) per one hundred (100) cubic feet of water used.

2.

For commercial customers within the city limits and apartments, hotels, trailer courts, motels and other facilities providing multiple-family dwelling in the city limits, where one water meter measures the amount of water used by more than one commercial establishment, or more than one unit in the said apartments, hotels, trailer courts, motels and other facilities, the charge for combined total consumption of water per establishment or units shall be as set forth in the preceding subsection above.

B.

User Rates: Customers Outside City Limits. For all customers outside the city limits, for all measured consumption, the charge is seven dollars and twenty-six cents ($7.26) per one hundred (100) cubic feet of water used.

C.

Service Connection Charges. The charge for a new water service connection to the city's system shall be set by city council resolution.

D.

Turn-On Fee. The charge for turning water on to restore disconnected or discontinued service shall be twenty-five dollars ($25.00).

E.

Deposit for Meter Testing. The amount of deposit charged for testing accuracy of water meters shall be forty dollars ($40.00) for meters of one inch in size or less; for meters larger than one inch in size, the amount of deposit shall be twenty dollars ($20.00) plus the actual cost of testing service by a qualified or licensed meter tester.
